Gulab Jamun – Soft Milk Dumplings in Rose Syrup

Gulab jamun is the sweet that marks every celebration. Make them with a ready mix or from milk powder – either way, soak them well in fragrant syrup.
Tips from the Ruchippura kitchen
- Knead gently – over-kneading makes the jamuns hard.
- Fry on low heat so they cook through evenly.
- Add the jamuns to warm, not boiling, syrup.
