Mulaku Pachadi – Kerala Green Chilli & Tamarind Curry

Mulaku Pachadi – Kerala Green Chilli & Tamarind Curry

In the good old days in my house, we used to make this for special occasions like Onam and Vishu. It is a mouth-watering recipe.

Mulaku pachadi (മുളക് പച്ചടി) balances heat, sourness and sweetness – a little goes a long way.

Tips from the Ruchippura kitchen

  • Fry the chillies until they blister and brown – it tames their heat.
  • Adjust the jaggery to balance the tamarind to your taste.
